10th class student ‘ends’ life at Gurukul Patasala

A tenth-class student, identified as E. Ajith (16), reportedly ended his life at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Gurukul Patasala at Pedavagi in Eluru district on Saturday.

His body was found hanging from the ceiling of his room. Staff and the students rushed the boy to a hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead, said Pedavegi SI M. Hari Gopal.

The boy’s father, Ramesh, expressed doubt over the death and lodged a complaint with the Pedavegi police.

A case has been registered and the investigation is on, Mr. Hari Gopal, who visited the Patasala, told The Hindu.
