Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin announces a big bonanza for women, with ₹5,000 credited to the accounts of roughly 1.3 crore women, just days before the Assembly election dates are announced.

“As advance for February, March, April months: ₹3,000 under Magalir Urimai Thittam plus as summer special allocation of ₹2,000 - total of ₹5,000 has been credited this morning to 1.31 crore Kalaignar women rights scheme beneficiaries as well,” Chief Minister Stalin said in a social media post

“We will raise the ₹1,000 rights allocation to ₹2,000 and provide it! This is the promise given by this Muthuvel Karunanidhi Stalin to my sisters,” he said
