Ace Indian squash player Joshna Chinappa clinched her first PSA title in a decade, her 11th Tour title overall, with her win over Haya Ali in the final of the Japan Open.
The 39-year-old star got the better of Egyptian Ali in four games 11-5, 11-9, 6-11, 11-8 in the championship fixture that lasted just under 40 minutes.
Chinappa, a former world top-10 player, got the better of Ali’s compatriot Rana Ismail in the semifinal of the event with a 11-7, 11-1, 11-5 win.
Chinappa was richer by USD 15,000 with her win in the Challenger event in Yokohoma.
