Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the State’s plan for AI-driven and fully digital governance on the second day of the Collectors’ Conference in Amaravati on Friday, as IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh announced plans for a unified governance dashboard integrating key performance indicators (KPIs) of all departments onto a single platform, replacing multiple standalone websites and dashboards. The new system is expected to go live within 90 days.

Mr. Naidu directed officials to accelerate technology-enabled governance through WhatsApp services, artificial intelligence, real-time monitoring systems and integrated data platforms.

Mr. Lokesh said the proposed dashboard would allow the government to monitor daily targets, review departmental performance in real time and enable quicker policy decisions.

Officials from the IT Department informed the Chief Minister that development of the platform was progressing rapidly and would be completed within three months.

Mr. Naidu stressed that governance should become simpler, faster and citizen-centric by reducing dependence on in-person office visits.

He instructed officials to ensure all government services are brought under WhatsApp Governance platforms by December. According to officials, nearly 90 per cent of the services are already available through the Mana Mitra system.

Data Lake initiative

Reviewing the AWARE 2.0 platform and Data Lake initiative, Mr. Naidu asked officials to improve real-time disaster alerts, strengthen cyclone warning systems and enhance data integration for welfare delivery. He directed the Collectors to intensify grievance redressal efforts and improve public satisfaction levels through AI-enabled systems and faster service delivery.

Officials said that the average file disposal time through e-Office had reduced from six days to two days. The government noted that nearly 3,870 files were disposed of at the Chief Secretary level within just 10 hours.

Under AWARE 2.0, officials said 67 use cases spanning weather, water resources, agriculture, fisheries, healthcare and disaster management are currently operational.
