K-pop stars often have their own dedicated fan base, and singer Aoora is one of them, known for his quirky lyrics, cool dance moves and good looks. The South Korean first rose to fame in India when he participated in Bigg Boss 17 and won hearts with his humble nature. But he is trending again, this time for a song dedicated to Lord Shiva. He has released a track called Shiva Shivam, which blends EDM with spiritual elements. Interestingly, he chose this time to release the song ahead of the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri on Sunday, February 15, which has given it the perfect exposure.
About the track Shiva Shivam
The new track Shiva Shivam by Aoora is presented in the form of the Hindu god. The track feels energetic and is also rooted in something older. It tries to capture Tandava, the cosmic dance of Shiva, where destruction and creation exist together.
When AOORA dropped the teaser on Instagram, he shared, 'Today marks three years since I arrived in India. I remember how I felt when I first landed in Delhi, then travelled to Mumbai and other places. I've had so many experiences and received so much love.'
He also added, 'I’m thankful to God for all of it, and I want to learn even more. I want to dedicate this song to everyone who has been a part of my journey. This isn’t just a song; it’s a prayer, and I hope it touches everyone’s heart.'"

Aoora and his connection with India
Over the past few years, Aoora has connected strongly with fans in India. He came to India nearly four years ago, and his music has reflected that bond. Songs like Thi Thi Thara got noticed not just for the music, but also because he learned some Malayalam for it. Holi Re Rasiya became a festival favourite in 2024. His K-pop versions of Jimmy Jimmy and Yeh Shaam Mastani also showed how easily he mixes Indian and Korean music styles.
Aoora’s career
Before coming to India, Aoora’s career had already started. He debuted with Love Back on September 4, 2009, and later released his solo single Body Part on March 28, 2014.
