Shares of Apollo Micro Systems fell 1% to Rs 401.80 on Wednesday despite the company announcing fresh defence orders worth Rs 134 crore.

The stock opened at Rs 405.95, close to its previous close of Rs 405.90, and swung between gains and losses through the session.

Here’s what triggered the news. Apollo Micro Systems has bagged orders worth Rs 134.35 crore from the Defence Research and Development Organisation, the Indian Navy, defence public sector undertakings, a state government and some private clients.

The company said these orders came in through its regular course of business and cover multiple defence and government projects. There’s a related development too.

IDL Explosives, a step-down subsidiary of Apollo Micro Systems, separately picked up work orders worth Rs 55.22 crore, which will be executed over the next two years.

This latest win adds to what’s already a fairly strong pipeline for the company. Apollo’s consolidated order book stood at Rs 1,432 crore as of 31 March, up from Rs 1,305 crore just three months earlier.

For the full year FY26, the company posted consolidated revenue of Rs 904.32 crore, up 60.9% from the previous year, while profit after tax rose 90.5% to Rs 107.38 crore.

The company has also been busy on the corporate action front recently. Earlier this month, Apollo Micro Systems signed an agreement to acquire a 41.33% promoter stake in Premier Explosives for Rs 1,550 crore in an all cash deal.

Around the same time, its board approved raising up to Rs 3,322.23 crore through a preferential issue of shares and warrants, with shareholder approval due at a meeting scheduled for 4 August.

Despite the fresh order and the bigger corporate moves underway, the stock couldn’t hold on to early gains through the day. Shares of Apollo Micro Systems closed at Rs 404.75 on the NSE, down 0.28% or Rs 1.15 for the session, after touching an intraday high of Rs 409.90 earlier in the day.
