All arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of Mahasivaratri festivities at Siddheswara Swamy temple, situated deep inside Talakona forest of Chandragiri constituency in Tirupati district.
Temple trust board members and officials met Chandragiri MLA Pulivarthi Venkata Mani Prasad (Pulivarthi Nani) at his office here on Tuesday to formally invite him to the upcoming festivities.
While inquiring on the progress of developmental works at the temple, Mr. Nani directed the officials to conduct the festival in tune with the ‘Sanatana Dharma’ doctrine and allow no scope for deviation from the religious guidelines specified in the Endowments rules.
Anticipating heavy influx of devotees for the festive occasion, the MLA told the officials to take a proactive step in management of queue lines and formation of food counters to distribute ‘annaprasadam’ to the devotees.
Later, Mr. Nani released the new model and logo for the temple, and also the year’s calendar.
