The results of the Andhra University Engineering Entrance Test (AUEET)-2026 for admission into self-support B.Tech. programmes of the A.U. College of Engineering (A) were released by the university on Friday, with Gollu Jayaram from Vizianagaram district securing the first rank with 84 marks.
Andhra University Vice-Chancellor G.P. Raja Sekhar released the results at the university campus in the presence of Registrar K. Rambabu, Dean K. Srinivasa Rao and other officials. Director of Admissions D.A. Naidu said the results had been uploaded on the university website and details regarding online certificate verification and counselling would be announced shortly.
According to official data released by the Directorate of Admissions, 5,327 candidates registered for the entrance examination, of whom 4,707 appeared and 620 were absent. The examination was conducted on May 10 at 11 test centres across seven major cities, including Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Rajamahendravaram, Vijayawada, Guntur and Tirupati.
The statistics released by the university showed that male candidates constituted the majority, with 2,690 appearing for the examination, while 2,017 female candidates took the test. Candidates from the BC-D category formed the largest segment among those who appeared.
Among the special category applicants, 204 candidates appeared under the NCC category, 127 under CAP, 123 under Sports, 105 under Persons with Disabilities (PWD), and 58 under Bharat Scouts. The university stated that certificate verification for CAP and PWD candidates would be conducted physically at the Directorate of Admissions office in Peda Waltair, while verification for NCC and Sports category candidates would be held online along with the general counselling process.
Goli Venkata Bhuvana Teja from Palnadu district secured the second rank with 77 marks, while Shaik Nousheer from Singarayakonda in Prakasam district secured the third rank with the same score. Vaddi Murali Krishna from Srikakulam district stood fourth with 75 marks, and Kanagala Likhith, also from Srikakulam district, secured the fifth rank with 74 marks.
The self-support engineering programmes offered through AUEET include Computer Science Engineering with an intake of 540 seats, followed by Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Annual tuition fees range from ₹1.05 lakh to ₹2.05 lakh, depending on the course.
