Sri Sathya Sai district police received seven ‘Rakshak’ patrol vehicles worth ₹15 lakh under CSR funding from actor and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna.
Superintendent of Police (SP) S. Satish Kumar on Monday distributed the motorcycles to Hindupur, Kadiri, Penukonda, Puttaparthi, and Dharmavaram police sub-divisions, as part of strengthening emergency response, field mobility, and night patrolling operations across the district.
The keys of the vehicles were earlier handed over to the SP by a team of representatives from Mr. Balakrishna’s CSR funding mission.
Speaking to the media, the SP said that Rakshak units would help police personnel respond swiftly during emergencies and improve policing efficiency in sensitive areas. He said enhanced mobility was essential for maintaining law and order and ensuring quicker access to necessary locations.
The SP thanked Mr. Balakrishna for supporting the Police department with modern policing infrastructure aimed at improving public safety and bringing them closer to the public.
