Bison Movie TrailerDhruv Vikram looks menacing as the determined kabaddi prodigy in Mari Selvaraj's Bison.

Bison trailer: The makers of Mari Selvaraj’s latest directorial venture, Bison, starring Dhruv Vikram Anupama Parameswaran, Rajisha Vijayan, Pashupati, Lal, Azhagam Perumal, and Kalaiyarasan, unveiled the film’s trailer on Monday.

The trailer offers a glimpse into the story of a lower-caste boy (played by Dhruv Vikram) with a passion for kabaddi, who is repeatedly held back by the oppressive forces around him. Actors Lal and Ameer appear to play the local power brokers whom Dhruv’s character confronts in his struggle to assert his identity and fulfill the aspirations of his community.

The trailer hints at the youngster rising up the ranks and becoming the hope for an oppressed generation. Pa Ranjith, who is also co-producing the film, posted the trailer on his X account with the caption, “In a Land of Chaos, rises a Believer. 4 Days to go until his last Raid.”

At a recent event, Dhruv Vikram heaped praise on Bison director Mari Selvaraj. He said, “No matter how much I thank my guru, Mari Selvaraj sir, it won’t be enough. Some people were saying that I wasted 2-3 years on his films, but for Mari sir, I would wait 10 years to make a film with him. This film would be even better if Mari sir had acted in it. Each time as an actor, if you can recapture 10% of what he is showing us on set, it would be correct.” The actor also shared how he used to wait for Mari’s approval on set with bated breath. “I used to yearn to hear the words ‘take ok’ and ‘super da’ from him on set. I used to feel like I had done something in life if he said ‘take ok’ itself. Thank you, Mari sir, for the effort you put into this film and thinking of me to play the lead role.”
