Caliber Mining Share Price: The initial public offering (IPO) of Caliber Mining and Logistics, a coal company, was listed on the NSE and BSE at a premium up to 19 per cent over its issue price of Rs 424.

On the BSE, the stock was listed at Rs 504, representing a premium of 18.9 per cent or Rs 80. Meanwhile, on the NSE, the stock was listed at Rs 500.25, reflecting a premium of around 18 per cent (Rs 76.25).

On the BSE, the stock had a market capitalisation of Rs 3,294.94 crore.

The listing comes after the IPO received an overwhelming response, with the issue being subscribed 146.64 times. It received bids for 114.90 crore (1,14,90,37,400) shares against the 78.35 lakh (78,35,821) shares on offer, according to NSE data.

The subscription was primarily driven by non-institutional investors, followed by Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs).

The breakdown of the IPO subscription data is as follows:

  • Retail investors: 41.15 times
  • Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs): 240.71 times
  • Non-institutional investors: 267.36 times

Caliber Mining and Logistics Ltd raised Rs 135 crore from anchor investors on Thursday.

Following the subscription, investors can check the allotment status of the Caliber Mining & Logistics IPO online through the official websites of the BSE and NSE. The status can also be checked on the registrar’s website, with KFin Technologies acting as the registrar for the issue.

Ahead of the listing, the IPO’s Grey Market Premium (GMP) stood at Rs 62, indicating a potential listing premium of around 15 per cent. This suggested an estimated profit of Rs 2,170 per lot of 35 shares. If the GMP remained stable until listing, the estimated listing price would have been around Rs 486 per share.

However, the IPO’s GMP remained volatile. It stood at Rs 80 on July 14, increased to Rs 117 on July 18, and later declined to Rs 94. Additionally, the GMP dropped from Rs 94 in the previous session to Rs 62.

The Caliber Mining IPO is a book-built issue worth Rs 450 crore. The issue comprises a fresh issue of 0.94 crore shares, aggregating to Rs 400 crore, and an offer for sale (OFS) of 0.12 crore shares, aggregating to Rs 50 crore.

The IPO was priced in the range of Rs 402 to Rs 424 per share. The lot size was 35 shares, and the minimum investment required for a retail investor was Rs 14,840.
