The mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) 4.0 will be held across government schools and junior colleges in Chittoor and Annamayya districts on July 24 (Friday). Officials are calling it a major initiative to strengthen parent-teacher partnerships and improve learning outcomes.
In Chittoor district, the programme will be organised in 2,076 government schools and 26 government junior colleges, bringing together 1,03,091 students, their parents, teachers, public representatives and officials. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 12.45 p.m. in all government schools, including KGBVs, residential and ashram schools. Special officers and Education department officials have been assigned to supervise the arrangements.
District Collector Sumit Kumar said that under the ‘Talliki Vandanam’ scheme, financial assistance is being credited in phases from July 22 into the bank accounts of 1,35,452 mothers benefiting 1,98,754 students. Each student is entitled to ₹15,000 under the scheme.
In Annamayya district, the Mega PTM 4.0 will be conducted in 2,259 schools and junior colleges. Financial assistance under ‘Talliki Vandanam’ has been credited to the accounts of 1,22,076 mothers and guardians for 1,92,728 children.
The programme will include parent-teacher interactions on students’ academic performance, exhibitions showcasing student achievements, competitions for parents, community participation activities and discussions on strengthening educational institutions. Alumni, donors and school management committee members will also participate.
