Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader J.D. Seelam has alleged that NDA government is systematically targeting Dalit Christians in the country by threatening to remove reservation facility ensured by the Indian Constitution for Scheduled Castes and Tribes.

Attending as chief guest the Dalit Christians Conclave organised by the South India Baptists Association-Vizianagaram District president R.S. John on Tuesday. Mr. Seelam said that citizens can choose their religions as per the provisions of the Indian Constitution and it should not be a pretext to remove reservation facility for Dalit families.

Liberation Congress Party founder and former IAS officer G. Vijay Kumar, Ambedkar India Mission founder and IPS Officer P.V. Suneel Kumar requested all Dalit Christians to jointly fight for the protection of their reservation facility.
