Murali Sreeshankar wins silver at Commonwealth Games 2026 with 8.09m long jump. India's medal tally grows.

Indian long jumper Murali Sreeshankar bagged a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games 2026 on Wednesday, adding another podium finish to his CWG record and taking his medal tally to two.
Sreeshankar produced a best effort of 8.09m to finish second, missing out on gold. Jamaica’s Tajay Gayle claimed the top prize with a winning jump of 8.15m, while Scotland’s Stephen Mackenzie bagged the bronze medal with 8.08m.
