StartupTN and the TNWeSafe Project have jointly come out with an initiative called EmpowHer 1.0, aimed at helping over 6,000 aspiring women entrepreneurs within one year, strengthening women-led enterprise development across the State.
The inaugural cohort comprises 160 aspiring women entrepreneurs from Chennai, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, and Tiruvallur. They were selected through a structured application process.
According to a statement issued by StartupTN, the two-day bootcamp was designed as an intensive, outcome-driven programme focused on transforming entrepreneurial intent into structured business action. It included a mindset realignment segment to build founder confidence and clarity, a hands-on lab to convert ideas into viable business blueprints, guided pitch development sessions to strengthen communication and investor readiness, reverse brainstorming exercises to identify risks and refine problem-solving approaches, and a leadership transformation track aimed at strengthening decision-making and growth orientation.
Participants will be provided access to mentorship support and a structured post-programme roadmap for continued progression.
