EPFO Passbook: According to the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation notification dated July 8, members were notified that the EPFO will auto-process annual interest at 8.25 per cent for FY 2025-26, amounting to an estimated Rs 1.44 lakh crore, for over 34 crore member accounts before verification by field authorities and credit to members' accounts. Members will be able to view the interest credit in their passbook by July 15th, 2026.

How to check your PF balance via SMS
UAN-activated members can check their latest EPF contribution and account balance by sending an SMS to 7738299899 from their mobile number registered with the EPFO.
You have to send the message in this format: ‘EPFOHO UAN’. Do not forget to include your UAN number in the text. In case you wish to receive the response in a regional language, add the code of your preferred language after your UAN in the text.
The facility is available in 10 languages, and the EPFO will respond with details of the last PF contribution, current balance and available KYC information.
The languages available for the response are: English (default), Hindi (HIN), Punjabi (PUN), Gujarati (GUJ), Marathi (MAR), Kannada (KAN), Telugu (TEL), Tamil (TAM), Malayalam (MAL), and Bengali (BEN).
