In an exciting new venture, pop star Vishal Mishra makes his mark in the Malayalam film industry with 'Pallichattambi', where he lends his voice to the delightful romantic song 'Kattuchembakam'. Set against the backdrop of the dynamic 1950s-60s, this action-packed film directed by Dijo Jose Antony highlights the charismatic Kayadu Lohar in the leading role.

Popular singer Vishal Mishra, best known for his works including ‘RRR’, ‘Kabir Singh’, and ‘Haq’, has made his debut in Malayalam cinema with Tovino Thomas starrer ‘Pallichattambi’. The makers have dropped the first single ahead of Valentine’s Day.

The song ‘Kattuchembakam’ crooned by Vishal Mishra and Aavani Malhar is a treat to the ears.

Talking about the Malayalam debut, Mishra earlier said, “My first Malayalam song, ‘Kaattuchembakam’, is coming out now. I'm so happy to sing it. It's a wonderful language. One beautiful Malayalam song has been added and made by Jakes, and I can't wait for you all to listen to it. Everything you should know about ‘Pallichattambi’‘Pallichattambi’ is one of the highly-anticipated upcoming Malayalam films. The film is directed by Dijo Jose Antony, best known for his works ‘Queen’ and ‘Jana Gana Mana’. ‘Pallichattambi’ is expected to feature Tovino Thomas in a never-seen-before avatar.

Touted to be an actioner, the story of the film is set in the 1950s-60s period.Kayadu Lohar, who shot to fame with her performance in the Tamil blockbuster 'Dragon' plays the leading lady in ‘Pallichattambi’. The makers earlier unveiled her character poster and said, "And then, there was love... Love for a character, for a world, and for the soul of Pallichattambi!" The film will also feature Vijayaraghavan, Sudheer Karamana, Baburaj, Vinod Kedamangalam, Prashanth Alexander, and several other prominent actors. On the technical front, the film's script has been penned by S Suresh Babu. Tijo Tomy does the cinematography, and the editing is by Sreejith Sarang. Jakes Bejoy is composing the film's score. The production design is by Dileep Nath. The film is being released in five languages, including Malayalam. ‘Pallichattambi’ will hit the theatres worldwide on April 9, 2026.
