Five booked for alleged attack on house in Kannur

Five people, reportedly CPI(M) workers, have been booked by the Mattannur police in connection with an alleged attack on the house of a Congress worker at Elannur near Mattannur in the early hours of Sunday (May 17).

According to the FIR registered by the police, the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. at Nilambari house in the Kolari area of Elannur, where complainant A. P. Ramakrishnan and his family reside.

The complainant alleged that the accused pelted stones and hurled explosives at the house.

The accused named in the FIR are Vipin Raj, Vishwa Raj, Shreyas, Varun, and Abhikrishna, all natives of Kannur district.
