Space tech start-up GalaxEye has signed an agreement with NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), for its satellite imagery solutions.

As part of the collaboration, NSIL will resell GalaxEye’s entire product portfolio, including its ‘SyncFused OptoSAR’ satellite imagery solutions that deliver high-precision insights across critical sectors such including agriculture, disaster management, natural resource and inventory management, infrastructure planning and development and environmental monitoring.

This milestone makes GalaxEye the first private Indian satellite operator to formally collaborate with NSIL under a data reseller partnership agreement, the company said in a media release.

“The agreement would promote the opto-SAR products and services of GalaxEye at a global level. This collaboration is an example of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative to promote the Indian space products and services at the international level,” said M Mohan, CMD, NSIL.

“The partnership is a strong validation that the Indian New Space economy is finally ready for commercialisation at scale. Collaborating with NSIL allows us to bring advanced Earth observation capabilities to a wider set of users while contributing to India’s strategic and developmental priorities,” said Suyash Singh, Co-founder and CEO of GalaxEye Space.
