Ruchika Singh, who is facing the heat for raising abusive slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the NEET paper leak protests organised by the Cockroach Janta Party on July 23 at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, on Friday issued a public apology which surfaced on social media platforms.

In the clip, Singh, who claimed she is 15 years old, said she was influenced by the people present at the protest in Delhi’s Connaught Place.

The girl said that some people were raising abusive slogans against PM Modi, and she ended up raising similar abusive slogans against the Prime Minister under their influence.

“I had gone to Connaught Place with my friends, where a protest was taking place. There were several groups there who were abusing Prime Minister Modi. I came under their influence and ended up saying many inappropriate things. I am only 15 years old. Whatever I did was not worthy of forgiveness," Ruchika said in the video.

“This is my first and last mistake, and I will never say or post anything like this again. I sincerely apologise to the entire nation. I am deeply ashamed and cannot even lift my eyes. I seek forgiveness from everyone. Please forgive me," she added.
