This is not the first meeting between the two sides in the tournament. Earlier, India U-19 defeated Pakistan U-19 by 90 runs in their Group A clash at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai.
Batting first in a rain-affected match reduced to 49 overs per side, India posted 240 all out in 46.1 overs. Aaron George starred with a brilliant 85, while Kanishk Chouhan (46) and Ayush Mhatre (38 off 25 balls) provided crucial support.
In reply, Pakistan were bundled out for 150 in 41.2 overs, despite a fighting 70 off 83 balls by Huzaifa Ahsan. India’s bowlers dominated, with Deepesh Devendran claiming four wickets and Kishan Singh picking up three, sealing a comprehensive victory.
