The Indian restaurant in Glasgow, which came under fire after Olympic medallist Lovlina Borgohain pointed out a massive mistake in their logo featuring the Indian map, has deleted their social media account following massive backlash.

After winning silver at the 2026 CWG, Lovlina flagged that a restaurant had displayed an incorrect map of India. Hours after her video went viral, dining outlet Mister Singh’s India issued a statement announcing that it would change its logo.

But the restaurant deleted its Instagram account minutes after sharing the statement. It’s worth noting that the Indian boxing contingent visited Mister Singh’s India, the Home of Curry in Glasgow, for a celebratory dinner after their historic 10-medal haul at the Games.

After the visit, Lovlina flagged the display of an incorrect map of India.

In the video shared by Lovlina, she can be seen holding up the restaurant’s napkin featuring its logo, which displayed an incorrect map of India without the North-Eastern region.

“Mr Singh’s India is very proud of our Indian heritage and ancestry. For almost 32 years, we have served India and around the world. First and foremost, we would like to unequivocally apologise for the depiction of the wrong map of India," the restaurant’s statement said.

“Once again, our sincere apologies; we never wanted to offend anyone, but rather wanted to serve with pride to the Indian contingent. We will change the logo with the proper map," the statement added.

In the video that went viral on social media, Lovlina expressed her disappointment over the incorrect map and requested the authorities to take the necessary corrective measures.

“Please don’t take this the wrong way. I felt a little hurt by this. In the map of India, our North East is missing. Yes, even outside, the displayed map has cut off the Northeast," Lovlina said.
