‘India Values Its Deep, Enduring Friendship With Israel’: PM Modi Tells Netanyahu Ahead Of Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday thanked his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu after the latter described PM Modi’s upcoming visit to Israel as historic.

In a post on X, Modi wrote, “Thank you, my friend, Prime Minister Netanyahu."

He added, “I fully agree with you on the bond between India and Israel as well as the diverse nature of our bilateral relations. India deeply values the enduring friendship with Israel, built on trust, innovation and a shared commitment to peace and progress."

The Prime Minister also expressed his eagerness for the visit, saying, “Looking forward to our discussions during my upcoming Israel visit."

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had spoken about Modi’s visit at the opening of his Cabinet meeting.

“This morning, at the opening of our Cabinet meeting, I spoke about the historic visit of my dear friend, Prime Minister @narendramodi, to Israel this coming Wednesday," Netanyahu said.

Highlighting the growing partnership between the two countries, he added, “The bond between Israel and India is a powerful alliance between two global leaders. We are partners in innovation, security, and a shared strategic vision. Together, we are building an axis of nations committed to stability and progress."

He further said, “From AI to regional cooperation, our partnership continues to reach new heights."

Concluding his message, Netanyahu said, “Looking forward to seeing you in Jerusalem, PM Modi!"
