Intellect Design Arena shares touched a day high of Rs 745.50 on Thursday, after signing a new corporate banking deal with a UAE bank.
The client is a Sharjah-based financial institution. Intellect hasn’t named the bank or shared what the deal is worth.
What it has said is what the bank will get: a full software package to run its corporate banking, replacing older, disconnected systems with one connected setup.
This covers everything from onboarding new business clients to managing cash, tracking accounts, collecting payments, and handling liquidity, all built on Intellect’s own technology platform.
The goal, according to the company, is to help the bank grow its corporate business faster and offer a smoother digital experience to its business clients across the region.
Manish Maakan, who leads Intellect’s wholesale banking business, said banks today want more than just digitised versions of old processes, they want systems that can adapt as their needs change.
This isn’t an isolated win either. Just last month, Intellect launched a separate cloud-based banking platform aimed at new and digital-first lenders in the UK and Europe, built to help them get up and running within a few months.
The company has also landed several other deals recently, including work with non-banking finance companies in mid-July.
By afternoon trade, the stock had cooled off from its earlier high. Intellect Design Arena closed at Rs 734.05 on the NSE, down 0.59%, or Rs 4.50, from the previous close of Rs 738.40.
