Kamal Haasan pens a heartfelt note for his daughter Akshara Haasan on her 32nd birthday.
Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan recently shared a heartfelt birthday message for his younger daughter, Akshara Haasan. In the note, he reminisced about the first time he saw her and expressed pride and joy in the person she has grown into over the years.
Kamal took to his X account to share an old photograph of himself with a young Akshara. Along with the picture, he wrote, ”Dear Akshara, I did not see your eyes first. You were asleep. I looked into your mother’s green eyes and thanked her for the wonderful gift — you. Your mother told me you had her eyes. On inspection later, I realized a bit of my brown was also seen. These are simple similarities that parents childishly claim. Let them be.”
Praising the person Akshara has become, Kamal wrote, “You have grown into a beautiful person, both in form and thought.” The actor also shared a piece of heartfelt advice for his daughter: “I’m glad to see you have preserved the child within you as well. That child is mine too. Guard her well.”

The actor-filmmaker ended the note with the words, “Forever Yours, Bapu.”

Akshara Haasan is Kamal Haasan’s daughter from his second wife, actress Sarika, whom he parted ways with in 2004. He also shares an elder daughter, Shruti Haasan, with Sarika.

On the work front, Kamal Haasan was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s gangster drama Thug Life, which underperformed at the box office. The actor is now in talks for a new gangster film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, marking a long-awaited on-screen reunion with superstar Rajinikanth. The project will be produced under his home banner, Raaj Kamal Films International.
