Professor Kancha Ilaiah has underscored the need for a united fight against the proposed amendments to the Foreign Currency Regulation Act (FCRA) and Anti-Conversion laws in the country.
At a meeting with pastors, bishops, and church leaders, organised by the All India Christian Council here on Tuesday, Mr. Ilaiah said that there was urgent need to come together to oppose the proposed amendment to the FCRA Bill and Anti-Conversion Bill.
Other speakers Father Anthaiah, (Catholic Church), K.P. Edison, Bishop of Pentecostal Church, Innbaraj, AICC, president, (Tamil Nadu), Yohhani, AICC, Secretary (Andhra Pradesh) and Maheshwar Rao, Chairman, SC & ST Confederation, backed the suggestion.
Earlier, Archbishop Joseph D’Souza, National President of the Council, stressed the need for urgent action to oppose challenges faced by the Christian community across the country.
