Tiffany Young has announced her debut solo studio album, Edge of Calm, arriving worldwide on August 20, alongside an eight-city Asia tour running from September through December this year.
"Creating Edge of Calm became much more than making an album — it became a way of understanding myself," Young said in an exclusive statement. “There were moments where I had to stop trying to write the version of my story that felt polished or complete and instead sit with the questions I still don't have answers to. That's where these songs came from.”
“To me, calm isn’t the absence of chaos. It's the quiet confidence to remain present through it. Every track captures a different emotional landscape I've walked through, and together they feel like pages from a diary rather than individual songs.”
The album follows pre-release single "Summer’s Not Over," released earlier this year to mark the tenth anniversary of her solo debut.
The official press release says Young will be more involved with this project than her previous ones, from concept development to styling, visual direction and music videos.

Although she made her solo debut a decade ago, Young is longest known for being a member of veteran K-pop girl group Girls Generation, also known as Sonyeosidae or SNSD.
Born in San Francisco and raised between the US and South Korea, she debuted with the originally nine-member group in 2007; Girls Generation later went on to become one of the defining acts of second generation K-pop.
Known by the honorary title of the ‘Nation’s Girl Group’, Girls Generation has racked up the accolades over the years, including multiple highest-selling albums in Korea and a whopping nine consecutive weeks at the top of KBS’ Music Bank (a record held for three years till PSY’s Gangnam Style in 2012). Young revealed last month that the group is clearing their schedules for a 2027 comeback tied to their twentieth anniversary.
Young launched her solo career in 2016 while Girls’ Generation remained on hiatus following members’ individual pursuits, releasing her debut EP I Just Wanna Dance. She is currently represented by Pacific Music Group as the first Korean artist on their roster, and has built a profile across music, acting, and advocacy.
Edge of Calm is her first full length solo album.
