The Spanish National Men’s Football Team will finish the year 2025 as the top-ranked country in the FIFA standings, with the top-10 unchanged since the previous issue of the rankings.

World Champions Argentina, who will look to defend their title at the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 in the USA, Mexico and Canada, are placed second, while the previous holders of the title, France, come in third.

Former champions England, who appointed Thomas Tuchel in charge of their title thrust at the quadrennial event next year, are fourth, ahead of five-time winnes Brazil, who will be under the tutelage of Carlo Ancelotti at the showpiece in North America.

UEFA Nations League holders Portugal come in at sixth in the table, followed by the Netherlands. Belgium are ranked eighth ahead of four-time champions Germany. Croatia complete the top-10 of the men’s team rankings.

Vietnam, who climbed three places to reach the 107th spot were the biggest gainers in the latest list, with the next iteratio of the rankings expected to be announced on the 19th of January.

The limited alterations in the new rankings published on Monday, were due to just the Arab Cup results taken into account after the previous standings had been released on November 19.

Spain, who won their World Cup Group E qualifying are pooled alongside Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde in Group H of the FIFA World Cup 2026 slated to begin in June.
