LA Knight spoke about his career in the World Wrestling Entertainment till now and expressed a sense of frustration at not bagging a major world title. The WWE star emphasised that while it has been a ‘hell of a ride’ for him, there have also been multiple points of frustration along the way.
Knight echoed what his fans have been feeling for a long time, giving his thoughts on the brewing questions about his ‘nearly man’ status inside the ring. Speaking to ESPN SportsCenter, the pro wrestler indicated it has not been easy for him to deal with it as well.
LA Knight On His Lack Of Major Title
“It’s a good time. There’s definitely been frustrations here and there. You can’t be in something you love, and from time to time — passion is sometimes full of anger. There’s no way not to have a little bit of that in there. But as far as what we’re doing, and what I’m doing, it’s been a hell of a run, it’s been a hell of a ride," Knight said.
The “good time" reference from Knight was influenced by his recent qualification for the Elimination Chamber 2026, as he defeated Penta and Austin Theory on Raw to join Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Je’Von Evans, Jey Uso and Trick Williams for the cage fight.
If Knight comes out triumphant, he will have the chance to compete with WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 42 for that elusive big title his career needs.
‘Overdue If You Ask Me’
“As far as I’m concerned, me being in the World Title picture at WrestleMania, overdue if you ask me," Knight said. “It would mean all this paid off. Everything. All the effort, all the time, blood, sweat, tears, all that stuff you hear everybody talk about, it’s real."
“Look, I’m 23 years deep in this thing right now. With that being the case, when you talk about a marquee match like that, nothing gets bigger than WrestleMania."
The event in Chicago on Saturday, February 28, marks Knight’s comeback to the Elimination Chamber after he lost to Drew McIntyre at the 2024 edition.
