Police personnel from Nandyal and Kurnool district units played a friendly cricket match on Sunday (May 17) at the APSP Second Battalion grounds in Kurnool. The teams were led by Superintendents of Police of Kurnool and Nandyal districts, Vikrant Patil and Suneel Sheoran, respectively. Nandyal District Police team emerged victorious in the friendly match.
On the occasion, the SPs maintained that engaging in sports not only provides mental rejuvenation but also alleviates the stress that police personnel undergo during the discharge of official duties. The two SPs played cricket alongside the personnel boosting the morale of the police staff.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vikrant Patil said the friendly cricket match was organized with the objective of reducing stress among police personnel, enhancing their physical fitness, and enabling them to provide even better services to the public. For the police personnel who are constantly on duty maintaining law and order, sports ensure physical fitness and provide mental rejuvenation, he said.
Mr. Suneel Sheoran said the cricket match was organized to foster a cordial and friendly atmosphere between the police forces of the two districts. He emphasized that sports contribute to both physical fitness and overall health.
