Ladies and gentlemen, we officially have ourselves a series — and it’s turning into exactly the kind of gritty, chaotic NBA playoff basketball everyone lives for.

The Minnesota Timberwolves clawed their way back to level their Western Conference semi-final series at 2-2 on Sunday night, grinding out a tense 114-109 win over the San Antonio Spurs.

And at the centre of it all? Anthony Edwards.

The Wolves star erupted for 36 points, including 16 in a frantic fourth quarter where the lead changed hands five different times. Every time Minnesota looked ready to crack, Edwards responded with another huge bucket.

With the game hanging in the balance late, Rudy Gobert and Ayo Dosunmu delivered key plays on both ends to help Minnesota finally pull away.  Remarkably, neither side led by more than nine points all night.

The biggest twist, though, arrived early in the second quarter when Victor Wembanyama was ejected for the first time in his NBA career.

After fighting for an offensive rebound, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year turned and caught Naz Reid with an elbow that sent the Timberwolves big man crashing to the floor.

The Spurs suddenly found themselves without their generational superstar, but they refused to fold. De’Aaron Fox and rookie Dylan Harper both scored 24 points, while Stephon Castle added 20 to keep San Antonio alive deep into crunch time.

But in the final minutes, Edwards simply took over.

Naz Reid finished with 15 points and nine rebounds, while Jaden McDaniels added 14 as Minnesota guaranteed the series will head back home for a Game 6.

Knicks Blow Away Sixers To Reach ECF

Meanwhile, in the East, the New York Knicks didn’t just eliminate Philadelphia, but rather, obliterated them.

The Knicks rained down an absurd 25 three-pointers in a 144-114 demolition of the 76ers, matching the NBA playoff record for made threes in a game.

New York came out breathing fire, knocking down 11 triples in the first quarter alone before finishing the first half with 18 — another playoff record.

The victory completed a dominant 4-0 sweep and extended the Knicks’ postseason winning streak to seven games.

Even without injured forward OG Anunoby, six Knicks players scored in double figures as they cruised into the Eastern Conference Finals for the second straight season.
