Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE) is set to throw open a newly built 1.5-km connecting road near Deepanjali Nagar junction on Mysuru Road, for better access to NICE road, also known as The Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMICP).

The four-lane stretch links the Deepanjali Nagar junction (BHEL Circle) directly to the NICE Road near Hosakerehalli PES College, forming part of the NICE road stretch. The development is expected to ease entry onto the stretch and streamline movement towards Challaghatta and adjoining areas.

NICE promoter Ashok Kheny, in a post on X dated February 21, 2025, said the upcoming stretch would soon be ready for commuters. “Soon, one of the most beautiful and well-developed NICE roads in our city will be ready to serve you. This new stretch connecting Deepanjali Nagar junction to the NICE Expressway is set to make your drive smoother, faster,” Mr. Kheny stated in the post.

Work on the project, however, faced a delay due to land acquisition issues. Currently, commuters travelling the 11-km stretch from Deepanjali Nagar junction to Challaghatta during peak hours spend between 45 minutes and an hour on the road. Key junctions such as Nayandahalli, R.R. Nagar, Jnanabharathi, and Pattenagere frequently witness heavy congestion, particularly at traffic signals.

With the new link providing direct connectivity to NICE Road, travel time to Challaghatta is expected to reduce to around 30 minutes.
