Beauty teams have long traded work for credits. That arrangement is ridiculously outdated, writes Sam McKnight.

A couple of weeks ago I reposted something which I had first posted six years ago, at the end of Covid, calling the fashion business to account for not crediting hair and makeup artists for their work. Although there have been some improvements to industry practices, it was disappointing to see that things hadn’t moved forward as much as I’d hoped. Let me explain.
