Police impose Section 30 across Chittoor sub-division till August 30

Chittoor police have imposed prohibitory restrictions under Section 30 of the Police Act across Chittoor sub-division from August 2 to August 31 to maintain law and order and prevent untoward incidents.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (Chittoor) J. Venkatanarayana, in a press release, said that as per the directions of Superintendent of Police Tushar Dudi, public meetings, rallies, demonstrations, dharnas and road blockades would not be permitted without prior approval.

The order covers the jurisdictions of Chittoor I town, Chittoor II town, Chittoor taluk, G.D. Nellore, N.R. Peta, Penumuru, Yadamari, Gudipala, Thavanampalle, Kanipakam, Puthalapattu, Irala, Kallur and Rompicherla police stations.

The Deputy SP warned that legal action would be taken against anyone violating the restrictions and appealed to residents to cooperate with the police in safeguarding peace, public order and security throughout the sub-division.
