Last month, the famed actor from ‘Home Alone’ was charged with soliciting a prostitute. Now, as per the latest reports shared by Entertainment Weekly, all charges have been dropped. The Ventura County District Attorney's Office dropped the charges after the actor was apprehended by authorities at a hotel in Camarillo, California for attempting to hire an escort.At the time, the actor was simply presented with a ticket and was not officially arrested for the misdemeanor. An official statement was posted by the district attorney’s office, which read, “The defendant did what he was supposed to do. He completed his education class and earned a dismissal. This is our standard disposition for first-time prostitution offenses.”

The 68-year-old’s legal representative also issued a statement about the same.
As per The California Post, they cited that the case was dropped accordingly as per law. “with prejudice”, as it should have been from the get-go.If the actor had been convicted by the court on the charge, he could have received a jail sentence of up to 6 months, along with a USD 1000 fine.
