When two of India’s most beloved actors decide to marry, it’s a story worth telling—and on 26 February, Udaipur witnessed just that. Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, affectionately called ‘VIROSH’ by fans, celebrated their union in a spectacular two-ceremony wedding that honoured both their cultural heritages. Every detail, from the outfits and wedding decor to the pre-wedding festivities, spoke of personality, culture, tradition, and careful attention to detail.

The wedding at ITC Mementos in Udaipur was more than a visual treat; Vijay and Rashmika's big day also represented India’s rich heritage in textiles and craftsmanship. At the heart of the sartorial vision was known fashion designer Anamika Khanna. Her signature style combines tradition with contemporary elegance.

Kolkata-based Anamika Khanna is a force in Indian fashion. Khanna has consistently reimagined traditional silhouettes. She is known for pairing techniques like gota, zardozi, and hand embroidery with modern drapes and cuts. From sarees and lehengas to inventive drapes, her outfits are stories in fabric, often drawing inspiration from history, architecture, and mythology.

Rashmika Mandanna: A Rust-and-Gold Vision

For the Telugu wedding ceremony, the actress chose a rust-coloured saree, and she paired it with a heavily embroidered golden blouse, designed by Anamika Khanna. The saree combined heritage and artistry with it's antique gold accents and temple-house motif. That's not all; the look also included a maang tikka, baajubandhs, layered necklaces, kadas, and heavy jhumaks.

Rashmika kept her makeup soft and natural. She highlighted her features without overshadowing the ensemble. Loose waves adorned with mogra flowers completed the look.

Vijay Deverakonda: White, Vermillion, and Timeless Tradition

Vijay Deverakonda’s outfit drew inspiration from Hyderabad’s Vanasingaram weave. He wore an ivory dhoti-style ensemble paired with a vermillion angavastram embroidered with forest- and temple-inspired motifs—a nod to heritage, sacred architecture, and power. A kamarbandh, a necklace, and gold studs added an extra touch of elegance. A particularly touching detail: Vijay’s angavastram was tied to Rashmika’s pallu, symbolising their bond and shared journey.

Two Ceremonies, Two Cultures

The wedding honoured both their traditions. The morning ceremony was a traditional Telugu Hindu wedding for Vijay’s heritage, followed by an evening Kodava ceremony for Rashmika. For this, she wore a saree gifted by Vijay’s mother, Madhavi Deverakonda—a meaningful nod to family ties and cultural blending. Each outfit, styled by Ami Patel, reflected thoughtfulness, elegance, and respect for centuries-old traditions.

Pre-Wedding Fun: Cricket, Pool Parties, and Haldi

The celebrations kicked off on 24 February with a friendly cricket match and pool party attended by close friends and family. The next day brought the haldi and mehendi ceremonies, filled with laughter, flowers, and candid moments that captured the couple’s joy. Fans caught glimpses of the events, highlighting the down-to-earth, celebratory spirit that Virosh brought to every tradition.

The Wedding of VIROSH: A Tribute to Fans

True to their fan love, Vijay and Rashmika named the day ‘The Wedding of VIROSH,' honouring the nickname coined by fans years ago. In a heartfelt note, they thanked their supporters for giving them “a name and a sense of belonging long before any wedding plans were made.” It was a moment that acknowledged not only their love for each other but also their connection with the millions who have followed their journey.

Director Sandeep Vanga Reddy, actors Tharun Bhascker, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Eesha Rebba, and stylist Shravya Varma attended the wedding.

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda began their wedding celebrations with a traditional Telugu ceremony at 10:10 in the morning. Later in the evening, they held a second ceremony to pay tribute to Rashmika’s Kodava roots. The couple’s journey began on the set of the 2018 film Geetha Govindam, and they went on to work together again in Dear Comrade (2019). Their engagement took place in a private gathering on 3 October 2025 at Vijay’s residence in Hyderabad.
