Religious fervour marks Hanuman Jayanthi celebrations in Tirumala

Hanuman Jayanthi was celebrated with religious fervour and grandeur across various Hanuman temples in Tirumala on Tuesday (May 12, 2026), with scores of devotees participating in the festivities.

TTD Executive Officer Muddada Ravichandra, along with Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, offered ‘pattu vastrams’ to Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple at the renowned Japali theertam situated about five kilometres from the town amid the dense Tirumala forests.

Special pujas and rituals were performed after which the priests presented ‘Sindhoora Vastram’ and ‘Theertha Prasadams’ to the TTD EO and Addl EO.

The TTD authorities also took part in the special abhishekam performed to Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy, located opposite to the main temple complex and also attended the celebrations at Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy temple situated midway along the ghat road leading to Tirupati. Special pujas were performed to the 60-foot Hanuman idol at the venue, drawing a large number of devotees, particularly pilgrims trekking to the hill shrine.

Meanwhile, a devotee from Mumbai, Vijay Ramesh Chandra, donated ₹1.03 crore to the TTD-run Sri Venkateswara Pranadana Trust on Tuesday. He handed over the demand draft to Addl EO Chowdary at the latter’s camp office in Tirumala.
