Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital after suffering a minor brain haemorrhage. As news of his hospitalisation spread, several members of the film fraternity rushed to check on him — including Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.After Salman Khan visited his father earlier in the morning, Shah Rukh was spotted arriving at the hospital later in the day. A video shared by paparazzo page Instant Bollywood showed SRK’s car entering the premises amid tight security.

Malaika Arora, Arhaan keep a low profile
On Saturday evening, Malaika Arora was also seen arriving at the hospital. Accompanied by her son Arhaan Khan, she stepped out of the car and headed inside quickly, maintaining a low profile.
Doctor confirms minor brain haemorrhage
It was reported that Salim Khan, 90, was admitted on February 17. On Wednesday, Dr Jalil D Parkar addressed the media and confirmed that the veteran writer had suffered a minor brain haemorrhage.“There was no surgery performed. It was a procedure which we usually do. Yes, he had a brain haemorrhage, which was very minimal, which did not require any surgical intervention. There was no need for any surgery,” the doctor clarified, adding that the haemorrhage was “very minimal.”
According to the hospital’s official statement, Salim Khan was admitted at 8.30 am under the care of Dr Parkar from the Department of Chest Medicine. He was brought to the emergency department by the family doctor and later shifted to the ICU for close monitoring. His condition is said to be stable, though recovery may take time due to his age.
Film fraternity stands by the family
Several prominent names from the industry have been visiting Salim Khan since his admission. Among them were Ranveer Singh, Shilpa Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Javed Akhtar and Aamir Khan, who was accompanied by his girlfriend Gauri Spratt. Politician Rahool N Kanal and actor Lulia Vantur also paid visits.
