Stock Split News , BEML Stock Split Record Date: A famous defence PSU has announced its first-ever stock split . This is also first sub-division or stock split announcement by defence company demerger in 2022.
The PSU enjoys a Miniratna Category-1 status and operates under the Ministry of Defence.
The name of defence PSU under discussion for first-ever stock split is BEML Limited.
BEML Stock Split Ratio
According to an exchange filing by BEML, the board has set the stock split ratio at 2:1. It means the existing face value of BEML shares, which is Rs 10, will become Rs 5 after stock split. In another others, each BEML shares of Rs 10 face value will split into 2 shares of Rs 5 face value each.
"Sub-division/ split of existing 1 (One) Equity Share of face value of Rs 10 (Rupees Ten Only) each fully paid up into 2 (Two) Equity Shares of face value of Rs 5 (Rupees Five Only) each fully paid up," BEML had said in a filing earlier.
BEML Stock Split Record Date
On record date, BEML has said that the ex date or record date for the purpose of stock split will be in the first week of November. As per a filing dated September 29, 2025, BEML has said that November 3 will be the record date for determining the eligibility of shareholders to whom the benefit of stock split will be given.
"The Board of Directors of the Company passed the Resolution at the Board Meeting held on Monday 29thSeptember 2025, and fixed the ‘Record Date’ on Monday, 03rd November, 2025 for the purpose of Sub-division/ split," BEML said in filing.
BEML Stock Split Ex Date
BEML shares will turn ex-date for stock split on November 3, 2025 it self as per T+1 settlement cycle.
BEML Demerger
BEML had demerged its non-core land assets into a separate listed company in 2022. The name of resulting company is BEML Land Assets Ltd. BEML had set its demerger record date September 2022. BEML demerger share ratio was 1:1.
BEML Land Assets shares are listing on both the leading exchange NSE and BSE.
BEML Dividend History
BEML has a dividend yield of 0.49 per cent. In CY 2025 so far, BEML has paid dividend on three different occasions to its shareholders -- Rs 1.20 in September; Rs 15 in May and Rs 5 in February. Back in CY 2024 and 2023, BEML had paid dividend twice in each year, aggregating to Rs 20 and Rs 10, respectively.
BEML shares on Monday (October 13) closed in the green at Rs 4380 on NSE. As per BSE data, BEML shares have climbed 15 per cent in the last one year and 85 per cent in two years. In three and five years, the defence stock has delivered a bumper return of 190 per cent and 739 per cent, respectively.
BEML shares have a 52-week range of Rs 4,874.85 - Rs 2,346.35 on BSE. BEML commands a market cap of Rs 18,145 crore.
