Uday Revankar, honorary secretary, Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Hubballi, has said that young management students should come out with innovative ideas to help the growth of the unorganised sector, the spine of the Indian economy.

He was inaugurating the two-day management fest ‘AD-MANIA 2K26’, organised by Bright Business School in Hubballi on Friday (May 8).

Elaborating on the importance of branding and the use of advertising, Mr. Revankar said that while a product speaks to the customer, the brand speaks to the entire market. He also mentioned efforts made by the Government of India in this direction by allocating a sum of ₹250 crore in the 2026 Budget for the orange economy (AVGC – Animation, Visual Effect, Gaming and Comics) and called on the students to explore the career opportunities in advertising.

Nataraj, head of LG Electronics, North Karnataka and Goa, called upon students to learn how to create brands by using their creativity and innovative ideas.

Presiding over the event, Basavaraj Lingshetter, secretary of Bright Education Trust, said that earlier, it was said that if you were able to produce, you were successful. However, now, you can be successful only if you succeed in marketing your products.

Welcoming the dignitaries, Prasad Roodagi, director of Bright Business School, said that it is a small effort to give the feeling of the advertising and media world to students.

Students from around 20 colleges across North Karnataka are participating in the fest.
