Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday (October 13, 2025) expressed condolences on the demise of former Chevella MLA and founder of News & Services Syndicate (NSS), Konda Lakshma Reddy. The Chief Minister lauded his services as a legislator and his leadership roles as president of the Hyderabad Press Club and the Jubilee Hills Journalists’ Cooperative Housing Society. He conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved family members.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka also expressed grief over the death of Konda Lakshma Reddy, recalling his significant contribution to public life and journalism. He noted that Lakshma Reddy had served in several key positions in the Congress party, including as president of the Andhra Pradesh Sports Authority and official spokesperson of the APCC Grievance Cell. He said Lakshma Reddy’s passing was an irreparable loss to the party and the media fraternity.
Minister for Roads, Buildings and Cinematography Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Civil Supplies Minister Ponnam Prabhakar too conveyed their condolences. Mr. Prabhakar recalled that Lakshma Reddy’s political life was deeply associated with the Congress and that he was the grandson of former Deputy Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy. Both the Ministers extended their sympathies to the bereaved family.
