Telangana govt to finalise norms for universal life cover scheme

 A sub-committee of the Telangana State Cabinet will meet on Wednesday to discuss the modalities of a universal life insurance scheme for every household in the State.

As announced previously, the State Government will launch its flagship  ‘Indiramma Kutumba Jeevitha Bima Padhakam (IKJBP)’, a universal life insurance scheme to provide life cover of ₹5 lakh to every household in the state. 

To take the initiative forward, a Cabinet Sub-Committee will meet on Wednesday evening under the chairmanship of Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Finance& Planning, Energy,. and Sri N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Hon’ble Minister for I&CAD, Food & Civil Supplies. 

The modalities for implementation of the scheme will be finalised in the meeting, which would also be attended by senior officials and all other stakeholders.
