Telangana MHSRB releases provisional merit list for 500 specialist Civil Assistant Surgeon posts

The Telangana Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board (MHSRB) released the provisional merit list for the 500 Civil Assistant Surgeon (Specialist) posts in General Medicine, General Surgery, Radiology and Orthopaedics departments.

The certificate verification for shortlisted candidates will be held at the Indian Institute of Health and Family Welfare (IIFHW), Vengal Rao Nagar in Hyderabad from July 17 to 20. July 21 has been designated as a reserve day for candidates who need to submit pending documents or were unable to attend on their scheduled date.

According to a web notice issued on Wednesday (July 15), the Board had earlier published the details of applicants on February 19,  inviting objections. After examining the objections received, the provisional merit lists for the four specialties have now been finalised. Merit lists for the remaining specialties will be released later.

The ongoing recruitment is part of the 1,623 Civil Assistant Surgeon (Specialist) posts notified in August 2025. Earlier, on April 7, the Health Minister handed over appointment letters to 692 specialist doctors. With the release of provisional merit lists for another 500 posts on Wednesday, recruitment for the remaining 431 notified vacancies is yet to be completed.
