The Nilgiris records overall pass percentage of 94.13 in Class 12 examinations

The Nilgiris recorded an overall pass percentage of 94.13 percent in the Class 12 examinations, the results of which were released on Friday.

Out of a total of 87 schools, 20 of them recorded 100 percent pass percentage, according to the School Education Department.

A total of 6,299 students — 2,897 boys and 3,402 girls — appeared for the examinations, of which 5,929 students passed. The pass percentage among boys was 91.30 percent, while it was 96.53 percent among girls.

Out of 37 government schools, six recorded 100 percent pass percentage, while the overall pass percentage among government school students stood at 89.91.
