A viral AI-generated video depicting a hyperrealistic fight scene between Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt has once again sparked a debate online. This time around, 'Deadpool & Wolverine' writer Rhett Reese has shared his thoughts and went a step further by warning the industry about an impending 'shift' in movie making.The short clip, shared by filmmaker Ruairi Robinson, shows a digitally rendered scene of Cruise and Pitt engaging in a fist fight amid a desolate rooftop setting. Robinson revealed that the clip was created with just one prompt to the AI generator. He tweeted, "This was a 2 line prompt in seedance 2. If the hollywood is cooked guys are right maybe the hollywood is cooked guys are cooked too idk."

He later revealed multiple variations of the scene, altering characters, dialogue, background score and camera angles while maintaining the same basic fight choreography and setting.The video that has garnered over 1.2 million views, drew all sorts of reactions, including one from Reese who commented on the post saying, "I hate to say it. It’s likely over for us."

In a follow-up post, Reese expanded on his concerns, stating, “In next to no time, one person is going to be able to sit at a computer and create a movie indistinguishable from what Hollywood now releases. True, if that person is no good, it will suck.

But if that person possesses Christopher Nolan’s talent and taste (and someone like that will rapidly come along), it will be tremendous.”He continued, “Hollywood has long been a gatekeeper that keeps young/poor people away from creative levers. When a young person with no capital sets out to impress Hollywood, they will use tools like these. And young Chris Nolans will be among them. And amazing stuff will result.”
