Vizianagaram women, Bapatla men win 13th State-level Beach Kabaddi Championship in Nellore

The women’s team from Vizianagaram district won the 13th State-level Beach Kabaddi Championship finals held at Duvvuru village in Sangam mandal of SPSR Nellore district on Sunday (May 10, 2026) evening. Teams from Srikakulam, Nellore and Bapatla districts finished second, third and fourth respectively in the women’s category.

In the men’s category, the Bapatla district team took the first prize, while teams from Nellore, Palnadu and Krishna districts finished second, third and fourth respectively. State Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy presented the trophies and certificates to the winning teams as the chief guest.

Mr. Reddy said he was happy that Duvvur village in Atmakur constituency hosted the State-level Kabaddi competition. The four-day tournament drew players and sports fans from 25 districts. He congratulated the winners and hoped they would excel at the national level.

Mr. Reddy, along with his daughter Leela Kaivalya Reddy and local leaders, watched the competitions.
