Who Is Vijeta Dahiya? DTU Graduate, Filmmaker, Author Sacked As CJP Spokesperson

Vijeta Dahiya, former Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson was removed from his position, after videos surfaced showing him absent from a protest march during police action against agitators, followed by a clip of him eating a burger while responding to the backlash. Amid this, here’s a look at his educational background and career.

Vijeta Dahiya is an alumnus of Delhi Technological University (DTU), one of India’s best-known engineering institutions. While announcing him as a spokesperson, CJP described him as someone with extensive experience in political research and strategic analysis.

As per multiple media reports, he contributed as a researcher and writer in YouTuber Dhruv Rathee’s team, positioning him within a network of political content creators who work behind camera as much as in front of it.

Vijeta also worked as a writer and filmmaker. He is the author of two books, Power of Universe and To Hell With That Job, both reported as bestsellers. His filming work includes writing and directing Haryanvi films Darare and Opri Parai.

Announcing his removal as CJP’s spokesperson, the party wrote on X, “We strongly condemn the deeply insensitive actions of our spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya, whose videos surfaced while peaceful protestors and our team were facing brutal police violence. Such conduct is unacceptable, shows a complete lack of judgment, and is wholly inconsistent with the values and principles of our movement. In response we are removing Vijeta Dahiya as spokesperson of the Cockroach Janta Party and relieving him of all the official duties.”
