The NFL great ruffled feathers as he termed professional wrestling 'cute' and downplayed the WWE, which did not go down well with the Viper.

NFL legend Tom Brady’s controversial remarks seemed to have ruffled the entire WWE universe badly, as superstar Randy Orton joined in the brigade against him. In a recent podcast, Brady described pro wrestling as a “cute" sport and downplayed it. The word has since not gone down well with multiple faces of the World Wrestling Entertainment, and Orton has also come out expressing his displeasure over the comments.

Speaking about the NFL great with ‘GetUpESPN’, Orton responded to his shocking comments in a typical fashion. He even warned that he might unleash his trademark RKO on the former NFL player if they ever crossed paths.

“Well, I did see a recent podcast Logan Paul put on. He had Tom Brady on, and he had a few things to say about pro wrestling. I think he called it ‘cute’," Orton mentioned.

“I’ve never met him, but I’d love to meet Tom and hit him with an RKO. I’d say he would be at the top of the list."

While Orton’s remarks were tongue-in-cheek, it is evident that Brady’s “cute" comment has angered the WWE wrestling community and its leading superstars. The RKO, as is known, is Orton’s signature and often-decisive move to win a match inside the ring.

Orton also spoke about the Saturday (February 28) night’s Elimination Chamber 2026 match, which will be a significant moment in his long and successful career with the WWE. When he fights it hard against the likes of LA Knight, Cody Rhodes, Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams, Orton will be flexing his muscles at his 10th Elimination Chamber match. The count is the highest for any superstar in WWE history.

“10 Elimination Chambers is a lot of Elimination Chambers. My body has been beaten up all over that ring in that chamber. It is unforgiving," Orton said. “But I take a lot of experience with me into that chamber, and I’m going to use it this Saturday. I’m going to win the thing and go to WrestleMania."

Orton became the first to qualify for the high-octane game after beating Aleister Black and Solo Sikoa in a Triple Threat Match on SmackDown.
