Maxworth India Private Limited’s representative Akkivarapu Mohan Rao and several farmers urged Parvatipuram-Manyam Collector N. Prabhakar Reddy to take stern action on people who reportedly grabbed lands and cut hundreds of mango trees in Pujariguda, Marriguda, Tulasivalasa, Madalangi of Komarada mandal in Parvatipuram-Manyam district.

In a note released on Tuesday (23 December, 2025), Mr. Mohana Rao said that they had given a petition to the officials over the illegal occupations in major portion of the total 340 acres owned by the Company since 1996.

According to him, the Tamil Nadu based company bought lands three decades ago and assured locals about the construction of agro-based industries in the vicinity of those villages to ensure jobs for youngsters and others. As the construction of the industries got delayed, the farmers approached Madras High Court for their immediate construction, saying that they had sold lands with a hope of getting livelihood.

Meanwhile, the local revenue officials reportedly changed records and transferred a few lands in the names of land grabbers although the company had not sold those lands to any person in the last few years. Farmers N. Gumpa Swamy and Balaram of Pujariguda said that the local people were also being threatened by the land grabbers for objecting the cutting of trees in those lands. They said that the lands needed to be protected from encroachments till the final order given by the Madras High Court.
