Mr. Masood described the death of the Iranian leader as a “sad event” and personally conveyed his sympathies during the meeting.

The world has lost a courageous leader. History will remember him as a valiant figure, one who, despite facing numerous limitations, endeavoured to develop his nation. The passing of such an individual is undoubtedly a profound loss. I was told that the late Supreme Leader knew more about India than many other educated and capable people,” he said.
“He was an exceptionally knowledgeable and competent individual who had a profound understanding of India,” told Mr. Masood told The Hindu.
